In 2006, Trek's portal was launched in order to provide a place for ThumbDrive® owner from around to come together. The platform allows users to access and update their knowledge on their devices, as well as providing them with technical support and assistance. The portal alsogives them the opportunity to download the latest software updates to enhance the capabilities of their ThumbDrive® devices.
in 2010, Trek Launched the FluCard™ portal. Working on the same principles as the ThumbDrive portal, this platform also allows users to upload, manage, print and share their photos.
When Trek introduced the ThumbDrive®USB flash drive in 2000, it changed the way people though about digital storage. The ThumbDrive® was a game changer, and for the newest generation of consumers, life before the ThumbDrive® may be unimaginable. Before the invention of the ThumbDrive® most consumers relied on the 1.4 MB floppy disk drive, which was very slow and offered limited storage space. Nearly ten years have passed since then and Trek’s ThumbDrive® continues to set the standard for portable data storage.
The lastest versions of the ThumbDrive® offer users a variety of functions other than storage and have been updated with state of the art security features that protect all data stored on the device.

The ThumbDrive® CRYPTO utilizes a flash memory controller with a built-in hardware encryption engine, based on the Advanced Encyption Standard (AES), which is the U.S. Government approved standard to encrypt data. The encryption is performed by a high speed encryption engine, which allows high speed transfer without compromising on the integrity of the data and it does not take up additional computing resources on the host computer. ThumbDrive® CRYPTO ensures that 100% of the storage area is encrypted. With this 256-bit hardware AES engine, the ThumbDrive® CRYPTO offers one of the most advanced security solutions available today.
With the ThumbDrive® Swipe, Trek has raised the standard on data security by offering a USB flash device with the latest swipe (fingerprint authentication).
